Beyonce and her management are hard at work trying to negotiate a deal to have her star in the sequel to her movie Obsessed.

Obsessed was the Fatal Attraction type thriller that she made earlier this year with actor Idris Elba. According to an email I recieved a few days ago, Beyonce is expected to pullmore moneyto star in the flick.

The plot of Obsessed 2 is rumored to have Beyonce cheating on her husband. And she’ll be stalked by her lover.

Story line is wackity wack wack wack!

Obsessed to be on DVD

According to Target, its due august 5th in stores. Columbia movies take an average of 218 days to appear on DVD,about 7 months, while obsessed has barely been in theaters for 3 months. Columbia is taking advantage of the little publicity this film had received & milking it for all its worth before it slips back into scrutiny.

Idris Elba refuses to ask fading singer Beyonce for help with a music career

The British actor is currently working on his first album and plans to tour Europe later this year (09).

Elba worked closely with Beyonce when they made the big screen thriller together, but even though he is close friends with the R&B superstar, he has never talked to her about his own musical ambitions.

He tells British magazine Now, "I'm actually a little bit nervous about playing my stuff to people I work with.

"After working with Beyonce, we got to know each other really well, but I didn't say, 'Hey, did you know I do music?'

"Beyonce is a phenomenal talent and a star, but I'd rather she just heard stuff and was like, 'I really like that. I want to work with him,' rather than by other means."

Beyonce knowles is set to star in a film-adaption of the Victorian-era lesbian love story, "Tipping the Velvet".The movie is also set to costar Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives.Hopefully she gets rid of her southern twang for this film. I wonder if her role contains singing?

Obsession Review

So I finally got around to watching the movie and thought I would write my own little review. Please feel free to write your own review in the comments section below.

Half way through the film I was asking myself where the hell Beyonce was? I thought her acting was pretty terrible until the end of the movie when she was kicking ass...then she really got into character. I loved hearing her say "Bitch"...that had me laughing... The rest of the time she seemed very wooden and predictable with her acting, for someone who has now starred in many movies I found that she hasnt really evolved.

The movie overall was slow and predictable.... but I enjoyed lusting after Idris...he is fynnnneee!!!

All in all it was crap but still good to curl up on a Sunday with some popcorn if nothing else is on the box.

Beyonce to play Ella Fitzgerald?

Rumours are swirling that Beyonce is thinking about playing Ella F. I feel so strongly that this would be a bad move for Beyonce. You already played Diana Ross... then Etta James and now Ella? NO BEYONCE...NO!

Beyonce to play Eartha Kitt

The project is still on hold at the moment, but Beyonce Knowles has said that she is hoping to get the chance to slip into the slinky one-piece first made famous by the original Catwoman herself. When she was prompted to say what she planned to do for her next on-screen role, the pop star answered, "I was going to do a film about Eartha Kitt. It's a great story."

In fact, Knowles is so keen to be a part of the movie that she would rearrange her hectic schedule to accommodate for production, should it get the green light.

That should be some interesting casting. Granted, we know that B can fill out a catsuit no problem, but the late, great Eartha's shoes would definitely be a bit harder to fill. She better start practice purring.

One of MediaTakeOut.com’s MOST RELIABLE snitches claims that even though The Avengers’ script has yet to be completed, Bey’s people are already lobbying to get her the role of She Hulk. The insider explains, “[Beyonce’s people] have already had meetings with [Paramount Pictures], it’s still early. Beyoncé Knowles is standing tall at the top of the US box office but her plans to become a giant of the big screen have been blasted as a joke by critics. Knowles latest on screen efforts took a pummelling from naysayers despite her stalking thriller Obsessed amassing an impressive £19.6million ($28.5m) at the weekend. The singer was blasted ‘laughable’, after her flick was dubbed a b-rate re-run of 1987’s Fatal Attraction. Connecting With Beyonce…“I think this was a very important role for her, because it was the first time she wasn’t playing a singer. But when we first started taping, it was difficult for us to really connect as artists because she has such a huge machine behind her. So in the early going it felt divided … almost like it was her and her team on one side, and everyone else on the other. But once the cameras started rolling, she really opened up and those walls began to fall. As a result, I really saw her grow as an artist, and I think you’ll be able to see it as well when you watch the film.”

Elba’s take on the film receiving a PG-13 rating …“The process of making a movie with Beyoncé was unique, just because she’s such a huge superstar. So when I first looked at the script, I thought the film could have and probably should have received an “R” rating on subject matter alone. But Beyoncé has such a responsibility to her younger fans that I believe it was necessary for them not to try certain things because of that responsibility.”

Oh my...so basically Beyonce and her team controlled the whole movie...WTF is up with that?

You get offered a lot of film scripts. What made you decide to do "Obsessed"?

What attracted me to this film was the empowerment. Usually, in a movie like this, the man in the end saves the day. My character, Sharon … is a wife, very supportive of her husband, [she’s] a mother, and she does what we all do as women when we feel like we have to protect our family. And she gets this strength. Instead of calling her husband and having that moment of weakness, and he as to come and save the day, what I loved was she was, "I have to handle this myself."

What kind of preparation did you do for this movie?

This is the deepest I’ve ever gone to be prepared for a film. And because I’m playing someone who’s not a singer, not a performer for the first time [in a movie], it was really difficult to be a young woman, a married woman. It’s not about the image. It’s about the emotion and the psychology of the relationship.

What’s your take on the character of Susan Charles?

She used to be her husband’s assistant — which is really interesting, because they became best friends. She knows him as well as he knows himself. So all the little games that he’ll play with all other women, she was right there and kind of there to help him out and be his assistant. So when something strange happens with the temp, Lisa, [Sharon] has this intuition, like, "What’s going on with her?" He’s playing it off. And when [Sharon] finds out the relationship is a little different from what he said it was, she gets very suspicious, because she knows her man.

Did you do your own stunts?

I did a lot of stunt work. This was the first time I did a big fight scene in a film — which I was kind of excited about, because it’s kind of similar to choreography. But it was very difficult. Keeping the energy up for hours and hours … I [was] covered in bruises. I really did my own stunts, basically. On top of doing the choreography, you have to still be in the scene [emotionally], and you have to have your performance as an actor, which was really a lot.

Giligan's Island Movie Role

It looks as though Beyonce will be taking the Gilligan's movie role after all. MTV is reporting that one of their reporters was a on flight and sat next to Tina Louise who was the original Ginger from the show. Here is what she had to say about Beyonce:

“I think she’s wonderful,” she said. “I think she’s extremely talented. I had so much fun [with the Ginger character]. It’s a great campy thing to do!”
She went even further about Beyoncé: “I admire her very much. You can see her heart in her face. She’s a lovely person.”
When I asked Tina if she had any advice for Beyoncé, she smiled and said, “If she wants help, I’ll be happy to help her. I know [Ginger's] sound! I slip into it very easily.”

Beyonce to play Black Panther?

BERLIN (Hollywood Reporter) – The Black Panthers are making a comeback.

Two English-language European film projects aim to bring leading figures from the Black Power movement of the 1960s to the big screen soon.
Franco-Algerian producer-writer-director Rachid Bouchareb, whose film "London River" screens in competition at the current Berlin International Film Festival, is setting up a movie on the early life of Angela Davis, a leading figure of the civil rights movement and one-time FBI renegade.
Meanwhile, Berlin-based Egoli Tossell Film, whose latest picture, "Hilde," screens as a Berlinale Special Gala, is in preproduction on a feature based on the life story of Black Panther co-founder Bobby Seale.

Bouchareb, working from a script by novelist Yasmina Khadra, has his lead actress firmly in mind: "I want Beyonce Knowles to play Angela Davis," he said.

Rumours are circulating that Drew Barrymore and the crew are going to do another movie together called.... geniusly..."Charlie's Angels: Part 3". Guess who they want as the fourth angel? Thats right...BEYONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It wasnt enough that Destiny's Child did the song "Independant Women" they now want her in the film. We say NO...Matthew will say YES. Looks like we will be subjected to it no doubt. I mean, who else is going to employ her weak acting abilities?
